Why Do My Prayers Go Unanswered?

Unanswered prayers have caused some believers to let go of their faith and even their belief in the existence of God. It is important that we understand that God is not in the business of giving us everything we want.  The wordly view of God is that He is this omnipresent, omnipotent being who sits on His throne waiting for us to make our request known so He can make it happen, and some believers have adopted this worldly view. When He doesn’t make it happen, then our faith in Him deminishes.

In reality, God is this omnipresent, omnipotent being who sits on His throne waiting for us to pray His will so He can make it happen.  God may allow certain things to occur in our lives because we asked, but if it was not His will, they will detour us in His awesome plan for our lives.  So how do we know that we are praying God’s will?  Romans 10:17 tells us that faith comes by hearing.  This means that in order for our faith to grow, we must hear and pray God’s will.
